Reality TV star, Ilebaye Odiniya has asked her colleague, Seyi Awolowo, to apologise to her parents over his remark about her lacking home training.

It may be recalled that during Big Brother Naija All Stars, Seyi and Ilebaye sometimes clashed and in one of those moment she inferred that she was not well brought up.

Revisiting the matter in an interview with journalist, Chude Jideonwo, the BBNaija winner said she has forgiven him and does not want his apology.

However, she stressed that if Seyi meets her parents he must tender an apology to them for denigrating their parenting skills.

Chude said: “Seyi said you don’t have home training. What’s your response to that?”

Ilebaye responded: “My parents trained me so well, and that’s what I’m proud of and I’m grateful to my mum and dad for taking their time to groom me to become who I am today.

“So, I will just tell Seyi, thank you; that’s all I can say. If he sees my parents, he should apologize to them, not me. I’m cool, I have forgiven him.”

CorrectNG recalls that Seyi Awolowo expressed regrets for his insensitive remarks against women on the reality show.

The 33-year-old actor stated that he was committed to learning from his experience and it was not his intention to offend anybody.

“I appreciate the chance to address this. In light of the controversy surrounding my statements, I regret any harm or misunderstanding they might have caused.

It was never my intention to offend anyone, and I have apologised for any offense or confusion my comments might have generated. I am committed to learning from this experience and being more mindful of my words in the future to ensure they promote understanding and positivity.

“I want to clarify that my intention was never to offend or harm anyone. If my words were misconstrued or caused any hurt, I sincerely apologise. My aim is always to promote understanding and positivity, and I will be more mindful of my words in the future to avoid any such misunderstandings,” he said.
