Award-winning comedian, Basketmouth has called out ‘powerful’ native doctors in the country for not using their powers to strengthen the value of Nigeria’s currency.
The comic actor took to his Instagram page over the weekend to ask why their powers are only used to help their female clients entrap men or for money rituals.
Basketmouth suggested that their juju would have served a better purpose if it was used to make the dollar drop to N150/$1.
He also said that apart from stabilizing the naira, the traditionalists can still use the charm to influence the politicians to either be empathic or make sensible decisions.
The stand-up comedian wrote: “All these juju people sef!! Why e be say na juju wey woman dey use catch man and money ritual dem sabi do pass?
“Dem no sabi the one wey go make $ drop to N150 to a $? Or something to make some our leaders have empathy and sense…”

Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, the actor popularly known as Kanayo O. Kanayo, has said he would never practice money rituals, despite being famous for his ritual roles in Nollywood.
The legendary actor felt the need to make clarification on that name ‘Nnanyi Sacrifice’ that people call him, saying it was first mentioned by someone at Obi Cubana’s mom’s burial in Oba two years ago.
The thespian said although he made sure to reject it on the spot, the name had stuck since then, but he doesn’t care so long as people are paying his cheque.
Kanayo said; “Money ritual is not good and will never be good. I will never be part of it and have never been part of it. When you hear somebody call me ‘Nnanyi Sacrifice,’ it was just the name somebody called me during Obi Cubana’s mother’s burial.
“One thing about names is that immediately you start rejecting it, it sticks. Call me any name you like, but pay me my cheque. If we listen to the message, we will change the society more. I am just a vessel.”
