Former contestant of Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’, Eloka Nwamu, popularly known as Eloswag, has said that many people think BBNaija graduates are not talented.
He stated this in a recent interview, noting that there is a stereotype about the reality show which he is trying to remove his brand identity from.
Eloswag mentioned former participants of Big Brother such as the current host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who also runs his own programme, and Liquorose who is a celebrity dancer and content creator.
He said they are all doing well in their respective fields and nobody is linking their brands to BBNaija, which is something he wants to do for his own brand.
Eloswag said; “People think BBN does not produce talents, so most of us just lay back. There is a stereotype. Some people would say things like, ‘They went to BBN, that’s why they think they can now start singing or acting’.
Apparently, I am trying to remove my brand from the BBN identity. So, when you see me, it’s Eloswag, not Eloswag from BBN. There are former BBN contestants, such as Liquorose and Ebuka, who are doing great things. Ebuka has a new show, and has been meeting influential people.
Nobody is affiliating it to BBNaija anymore because, he is now a bigger brand. The likes of Venita and Neo are acting now, and they are doing well. That is what I am currently trying to change about my brand.”
